Early Life and College Years
Art Long went to East High School in Rochester, New York. He was a talented player even then. After high school, he continued his basketball career in college. He attended several colleges, including Dodge City Community College and Southeastern Community College (Iowa). He finished his college basketball career at the University of Cincinnati.
Professional Career Highlights
Art Long was not chosen in the NBA draft when he finished college in 1996. However, he still got a chance to play in the NBA. He signed with the Sacramento Kings in 1999. He played nine games with the Kings starting in February 2001.
His most successful year in the NBA was during the 2001-02 NBA season. He played 63 games for the Seattle SuperSonics and started in 27 of those games. This showed he was an important part of the team.
In the 2002-03 NBA season, Art Long played for two different NBA teams. He played 19 games with the Philadelphia 76ers. Later that season, he played 7 games for the Toronto Raptors. In total, he played 98 games in the NBA during his career.
Playing Around the World
