Art Rooijakkers was born on August 29, 1976. He is a well-known Dutch television presenter. Many people know him best as the host of the super popular TV show Wie is de Mol? (Who is the Mole?). He hosted it from 2012 to 2018.

In 2011, Art Rooijakkers hosted the Dutch version of the game show Fort Boyard. He worked alongside Dutch radio DJ Gerard Ekdom. That same year, he also joined the popular TV show Wie is de Mol? as a contestant. He won the show by figuring out who the mole was (Patrick Stoof).
After winning, he became the host of Wie is de Mol? himself. He hosted the show from 2012 to 2018. He took over from Pieter Jan Hagens. Later, Rik van de Westelaken became the host in 2019.
Art Rooijakkers also appeared as a news reader in the 2012 movie De club van lelijke kinderen. He was a contestant on other game shows too. These included Weet Ik Veel (in 2013) and Ik hou van Holland (in 2009 and 2011). In 2014, he won the summer edition of the quiz show De Slimste Mens (The Smartest Person).
From 2011 to 2014, he hosted Cash op Zolder. This was the Dutch version of the British TV show Cash in the Attic. In 2014, he presented Bureau Rooijakkers en Verster with Lauren Verster. This show looked at different social issues. In 2015, he was in an episode of the TV show Familie Kruys.
In 2018, Art Rooijakkers started working for the TV company RTL Nederland. He hosted the game show Praat Nederlands met me (Speak Dutch with Me) later that year. In this show, questions were about the Dutch language and how it's used. In October 2018, he also co-hosted Holland-België with Jonas Van Geel. This show had a 'team Netherlands' and a 'team Belgium' competing. Ruben Nicolai and Louis Talpe were the team captains.
In the summer of 2019, Art Rooijakkers hosted the talk show Zomer met Art for ten weeks. He also hosted the second season of Praat Nederlands met me in 2019. Art Rooijakkers also presented Iedereen had het erover (Everyone Was Talking About It). In this show, he talked to people who were part of well-known news events. In 2021, he hosted Iedereen had het erover: Coronaspecial. This special episode focused on people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands.
In 2020, Rooijakkers took part in the photography game show Het perfecte plaatje (The Perfect Picture). In this show, contestants try to take the best photos in different challenges. He also hosts the TV show Rooijakkers over de vloer (Rooijakkers Visits). In this show, he visits famous people from the Netherlands and other countries. This show is like a new version of Van der Vorst Ziet Sterren. In 2021, he hosted B&B Vol Liefde (B&B Full of Love). In this show, he followed bed and breakfast owners looking for love.
In late 2021 and early 2022, Art Rooijakkers hosted a season of De Verraders (The Traitors). This show was available on Videoland. In 2022, Art Rooijakkers and Geraldine Kemper hosted the Expeditie Robinson: All Stars season. This is a special version of the TV series Expeditie Robinson. He also hosted the third season of B&B Vol Liefde. In 2023, he hosted Expeditie Robinson 2023.
Art Rooijakkers and Malou Petter will host the show Nieuws van de Dag (News of the Day) in 2025.
