Art Rooijakkers is a well-known Dutch television presenter. He was born on August 29, 1976. Many people know him as the host of the exciting TV show Wie is de Mol? He presented this popular show from 2012 to 2018.

Art Rooijakkers has had a busy career in television. He has hosted many different types of shows. He also appeared as a contestant on several popular game shows.
Early TV Appearances
In 2011, Art Rooijakkers hosted the Dutch version of Fort Boyard. He worked alongside Dutch radio DJ Gerard Ekdom. That same year, he also joined Wie is de Mol? as a contestant. He won the show by figuring out who the "mole" was. The mole was Patrick Stoof.
Hosting Wie is de Mol?
After winning, Art Rooijakkers became the host of Wie is de Mol? He hosted the show from 2012 to 2018. He took over from Pieter Jan Hagens. Later, Rik van de Westelaken became the host in 2019.
Other Shows and Guest Appearances
Art Rooijakkers also appeared in the 2012 film De club van lelijke kinderen. He played a news reader. He was a contestant on the game show Weet Ik Veel in 2013. He also appeared on Ik hou van Holland in 2009 and 2011. In 2014, he won the summer edition of the quiz show De Slimste Mens.
From 2011 to 2014, he hosted Cash op Zolder. This was the Dutch version of the British show Cash in the Attic. In 2014, he co-hosted Bureau Rooijakkers en Verster with Lauren Verster. This show explored different social issues. In 2015, he was a guest on an episode of the TV show Familie Kruys.
Moving to RTL Nederland
In 2018, Art Rooijakkers started working for RTL Nederland. He hosted the game show Praat Nederlands met me that year. This show focused on the Dutch language and how it is used. In October 2018, he also co-hosted Holland-België with Jonas Van Geel. This show had teams from the Netherlands and Belgium competing. Ruben Nicolai and Louis Talpe were the team captains.
Recent Projects
In the summer of 2019, Art Rooijakkers hosted the talk show Zomer met Art for ten weeks. Each week, he had a different co-host. These included Merel Westrik, Gert Verhulst, Richard Groenendijk, and Ellie Lust. He also hosted the second season of Praat Nederlands met me in 2019.
Art Rooijakkers also presented Iedereen had het erover. In this show, he talked to people who were part of big news events. In 2021, he hosted a special episode called Iedereen had het erover: Coronaspecial. In this episode, he spoke with people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands.
In 2020, Art Rooijakkers was a contestant on the photography game show Het perfecte plaatje. Contestants tried to take the best photos in different challenges. He also hosts Rooijakkers over de vloer. In this show, he visits famous people from the Netherlands and other countries. This show is similar to Van der Vorst Ziet Sterren. In 2021, he hosted B&B Vol Liefde. This show followed bed and breakfast owners looking for love.
In late 2021 and early 2022, Art Rooijakkers hosted a season of De Verraders on Videoland. In 2022, he and Geraldine Kemper hosted Expeditie Robinson: All Stars. This was a special season of the survival show Expeditie Robinson. He also hosted the third season of B&B Vol Liefde. He also presented Expeditie Robinson 2023.
Art Rooijakkers and Malou Petter presented the show Nieuws van de Dag in 2025. He had some vocal cord problems in February 2025 and could not present the show. He returned to the show in June 2025.
