Arthur's Big Hit facts for kids

"Arthur's Big Hit" is the first episode in season 4 of Arthur. It first aired on October 4, 1999. In this episode, Arthur punches D.W.

Eventually, the scene where Arthur punched D.W. becomes a very popular meme.

Plot

It starts off with Arthur showing flashbacks when he got very mad at D.W. Next, Arthur is trying to build his toy airplane and tells D.W. to not touch or mess with it. He is walking around in the living room until he hears his airplane fall to the ground.

Later, D.W. says his airplane can’t fly at all. Then, Arthur goes outside with D.W. only to found out his plane broke. Later, Arthur furiously says to D.W. "I told you NOT TO TOUCH IT!" and angrily punches her in the arm. A few seconds after she falls to the ground, D.W. cries and goes to her mother. Her mother says to Arthur: "Arthur Timothy Read, come here!". Arthur then says, "Uh-oh. Middle name." In the living room, his dad tells Arthur: "Arthur, this means no TV for a week."

Arthur tells his parents it is not fair. After that, his mother carries Arthur and tells him, “Apologize to your sister now!" but Arthur says no. Later at school, Arthur tells all his friends. Eventually, the tough customers tell Binky to punch Arthur in the arm the next time he sees him.

Binky does not want to, so he comes up with a plan not to look at Arthur ever again. However, while walking with his friends, Binky sees Arthur at the playground and they tell him to punch him. Then, he punches Arthur in the arm and Arthur runs home crying. Later, he apologizes to D.W. and their relationship goes back to normal.
