The Arthur A. Harris Linear Park is a fun outdoor trail in Brookfield, Connecticut. It's a great place for biking, jogging, or just taking a walk. This park has a special trail that you can use for many activities.
The trail follows the Still River and goes through pretty woods. It even connects with the Still River Greenway near its entrance. About 0.4 miles (0.64 km) from the start, you'll find a nice gazebo where you can rest. There are also benches at the end of the paved part of the trail, right before the path becomes unpaved to complete the loop.
History of the Park
The park is named after a special person, Arthur A. Harris. He was the chairman of the Conservation Commission, a group that helps protect nature. Back in 1967, he had a big idea: to build a long, narrow park along the Route 7 highway. This park would stretch all the way from Norwalk to New Milford. The Arthur A. Harris Linear Park was officially opened in the summer of 2010.
