The twenty-second season of Arthur brought new adventures to PBS Kids viewers in the United States. It aired from May 13 to May 16, 2019. This season featured four exciting episodes, each with two stories, making a total of eight segments. Viewers heard some familiar voices, but also welcomed new actors for beloved characters. The famous actress Jane Lynch also made a special guest appearance in one episode.

New Voices Join the Cast
This season introduced new voice actors for some main characters. Roman Lutterotti took over the role of Arthur. Ethan Pugiotto became the new voice for D.W., and Evan Blaylock voiced Brain. These changes brought fresh sounds to the well-known characters.

Planning and Announcements
Work on the 22nd season of Arthur began well before it aired. In March 2018, Jessica Kardos, who voices Sue Ellen Armstrong, shared on Twitter that she was recording new episodes. Holly Gauthier-Frankel, the voice of Fern Walters, was also part of these recording sessions. Recording continued through November 2018.
Voice Actors Bring Characters to Life
Bruce Dinsmore, who voices Binky Barnes, Mr. Read, and Bailey, confirmed in May 2018 that he had recorded new episodes. He mentioned that there were "lots more coming" and some "good surprises" for the audience. He also hinted at a famous guest star, who turned out to be Jane Lynch.
In June 2018, Oasis Animation, the studio that produces Arthur, announced that they would create four more seasons. This meant new Arthur stories would continue until Season 25.
