Arturo Fernández Rodríguez (born February 21, 1929 – died July 4, 2019) was a famous Spanish actor. He appeared in many films, TV shows, and plays. He started his acting career in 1954 and continued for many years.
Early Life and Career
Arturo Fernández Rodríguez was born on February 21, 1929. His hometown was Gijón, a city in Asturias, Spain. Before becoming an actor, he was a professional boxer. People even called him "The Tiger of the Piles" because of his boxing skills.
In 1952, he served in the military. He married Isabel Sensat in 1967. They had three children: Maria Isabel, Arturo, and Maria Dolores. The couple later separated in 1978.
Arturo Fernández passed away on July 4, 2019, in Madrid, Spain. He was 90 years old. His health declined after a fall he had in April 2019.
Becoming an Actor
Arturo Fernández began his acting journey in 1954. He became well-known for his charming and elegant style. He worked in many different types of entertainment.
On television, one of his most famous roles was in the series La casa de los líos. This show aired on Antena 3 from 1996 to 2000. In 2007, he also played two twin brothers in a series called Como el perro y el gato on TVE.
He also had a successful career in theatre. He played the main character in many plays. Some of these include "La herencia" (1957), "La tercera palabra" (1966), and "Tribute" (1980). Other popular plays were "Romantic Comedy" (1983) and "Esmoquin" (2001).
