Asante Cleveland, born on March 21, 1992, is a former American professional football player. He played as a tight end. Asante went to Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, California. He also played college football at the University of Miami. During his professional career, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, and the San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers.

Early Football Days
Asante Cleveland played high school football for the Christian Brothers High School Falcons. He was a very good player. In his junior year, he caught 21 passes for 262 yards. He also scored four touchdowns. As a senior, he had 24 catches for 412 yards. He scored seven touchdowns that year.
College Career
Asante Cleveland played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. He was part of the team from 2010 to 2013.

Joining the 49ers
Asante Cleveland was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft. However, the San Francisco 49ers signed him on May 10, 2014. He was later released by the 49ers on August 30. The next day, he joined the team's practice squad. On September 20, 2014, he was moved to the main team. Cleveland played his first NFL game on September 21, 2014. This game was against the Arizona Cardinals.
Time with the Patriots
On August 18, 2015, Cleveland was traded to the New England Patriots. He was traded for another player named Jordan Devey. The Patriots released him on September 5. He then joined their practice squad on September 6, 2015. On November 27, 2015, he was moved to the main team again. He played briefly in a game on November 29, 2015. He caught one pass for one yard in that game. The Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos 30–24. Cleveland was released by the Patriots on December 25, 2015.
Playing for the Chargers
Cleveland signed with the San Diego Chargers on December 28, 2015. On September 4, 2016, the Chargers released him. He then joined their practice squad. He was moved to the main team on September 24, 2016. On August 7, 2017, Cleveland was waived by the Chargers due to an injury. He was then placed on injured reserve.
