Asenav (which stands for Astilleros y Servicios Navales) is a company in Chile that builds many different kinds of ships. It was started in 1974 by a German immigrant named Eberhard Kossmann. Asenav's main shipyards, where they build and fix ships, are located in the city of Valdivia, in southern Chile. This city is about 15 kilometers from the Bay of Corral on the Pacific Ocean coast. The company also has offices in Santiago.
