Ashmont is a suburb located in the south-western part of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. It was originally known as "J.J. Salmon's Estate." The suburb gets its name from the Salmon family's old home, which used to be in the area where Ashmont stands today.

Ashmont started to become a town in the late 1950s. In the 1970s, many homes were built by the State Housing Commission, which is now called Housing NSW. As of 2019, about 21% of the homes in Ashmont are owned by government housing groups.
