Associação Sportiva Sociedade Unida, usually called ASSU, is a Brazilian football team. They are from the city of Assu in the Rio Grande do Norte state.
ASSU has won the Campeonato Potiguar (a state championship) one time. They also played in the Copa do Brasil (a national cup competition) once. Their team colors are green and white.
The CBF (Brazil's main football organization) ranks ASSU. They are currently the sixth-best team in Rio Grande do Norte. Overall, they are ranked 205th in Brazil.

Team History and Wins
The ASSU football club was started on January 10, 2002. Just seven years later, they won their first big title. This was the First Stage of the 2009 Campeonato Potiguar. They tied 2–2 with Santa Cruz-RN on March 1, 2009.
This win meant they would play in the final against Potyguar Seridoense. It also gave them a spot in the 2010 Copa do Brasil. On May 1, 2009, ASSU won the Campeonato Potiguar. This victory also earned them a spot in the 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. However, the club decided not to play in that competition.
In 2009, ASSU also won the Copa RN. The team played in the Copa do Brasil in 2010. They were knocked out in the First Stage by Atlético Goianiense.
Youth Team Achievements
In 2011, ASSU's youth team played in the Campeonato Potiguar U-18 for the first time. They reached the semifinals but were eliminated by América de Natal.
The youth team then earned a spot in the 2012 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. They qualified by beating Visão Celeste 4–3 in a penalty shootout. This was in an extra game for the U-18 category.
Home Stadium
Associação Sportiva Sociedade Unida plays its home games at Estádio Edgar Borges Montenegro. This stadium is usually called Edgarzão. The Liga Assuense de Desportos owns the stadium. It can hold up to 4,000 people.
