The Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum is a cool place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It's right near the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. This museum is all about airplanes and space travel! It shows off many different types of aircraft and teaches you about aviation history in Atlantic Canada.

History of the Museum
How It Started
The museum began in 1977. A group of people who loved airplanes started it as volunteers. It first opened its doors to visitors in 1985. A few years later, in 1989, the Government of Nova Scotia officially recognized it as a "Local Museum." This was a big step!
In 1995, the museum got a special building. It was a large hangar, about 14,000 square feet. This gave them lots of space for their growing collection of aircraft.
A Special Recovery
In 1997, the museum did something really interesting. They found and brought back a TBM Avenger airplane. This plane had crashed in 1975 while it was being used for spraying. It's now part of their collection, showing a piece of aviation history.
What You Can See
Exhibits and Displays
The museum has many exciting things to explore. You can see different kinds of aircraft trainers. These include a CP-107 trainer and a Link trainer. There's also a model of the old Halifax Civic Airport.
One unique item is an original V-1 flying bomb. This was a type of early missile used in World War II.
Flight Simulator Fun
In July 2023, the museum added a new flight simulator. It's based on a Boeing 737NG airplane. This means you can experience what it's like to fly a modern passenger jet!
