Atmautluak (pronounced At-mowt-loo-ak) is a small community in Alaska, United States. It is located in the Bethel Census Area. In 2020, about 386 people lived there. The name "Atmaulluaq" comes from the Yup'ik language.

A Brief History
Atmautluak has a rich history. The area has always been home to the Yup'ik Eskimo.
Founding the Community
The village was started in the 1960s. People chose this spot because it was on higher ground. This helped protect the community from floods.
Changes in Government
Atmautluak became an official town in 1976. However, in 1996, the community decided to change its government. They chose to return to a more traditional native way of governing themselves.

The community covers a total area of about 3.3 square miles (8.7 square kilometers). Most of this area is water, about 2.7 square miles (7.18 square kilometers). The land area is much smaller, around 0.6 square miles (1.57 square kilometers). The village is right next to the Pitmiktakik River.
