Attica is a small village located in Seneca County, Ohio, United States. In 2020, the village had a population of 873 people. Attica is recognized as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. This means the community works hard to plant and care for its trees.

History of Attica
Attica was founded in 1833. It was named after Attica, New York. This was the hometown of one of the first people to settle in the area.
A notable person buried in Attica's local cemetery is Clara Ayres. She was one of the first women to pass away during World War I. An Ohio Historical Marker stands in the cemetery to honor her memory.
Geography and Location
Attica is a small place in terms of size. The United States Census Bureau reports that the village covers about 0.67 square miles (1.75 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water.
