Aubèrt (pronounced aw-BER) is a small village in Spain. It is part of the larger area called Vielha e Mijaran. This area is located in the beautiful Val d'Aran region. Aubèrt is known for its interesting old buildings.

Where is Aubèrt?
Aubèrt is located in the Val d'Aran region of Catalonia. It sits at an elevation of about 903 meters (around 2,962 feet) above sea level. The village is very close to the N-230 road. This road connects the town of Vielha to France. Aubèrt is only about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from Vielha.
A Village by the River
The village of Aubèrt is found on the right side of the Garonne River. It is about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from Vielha. The village was once part of an older settlement called Betlan.
History and Old Buildings
Aubèrt is home to some very old and important buildings. These structures are part of Catalonia's architectural heritage. They show how people lived and built things many centuries ago.
Mare de Déu del Roser Church
The village is dominated by the church of the Mare de Déu del Roser. This church is a Romanesque building. It was built way back in the 12th century. A tall bell tower was added to the church in the 16th century.
Sant Martí Church
Near the cemetery, you can find another old church. This is the Romanesque parish church of Sant Martí. It dates back to the 13th century. This church was once part of an old monastery called Sant Agustí. That monastery no longer exists today.
