Auburn is a town located in Chippewa County, in the state of Wisconsin, United States. In 2010, about 697 people lived there. This was an increase from 580 people in 2000.
History of Auburn
The town of Auburn got its name from a poem called "The Deserted Village" by Oliver Goldsmith. There was a place named Auburn in that poem.
Where is Auburn?
Auburn is in the northwestern part of Chippewa County. It shares borders with Barron County to the north and Dunn County to the west. The village of New Auburn is right next to its northeast corner.
