History of Aufeminin
How it Started
In 1999, three people named Anne-Sophie Pastel, Marc-Antoine Dubanton, and Cyril Vermeulen created the website aufeminin.com. In July 2000, the company became publicly traded. This means people could buy and sell parts of the company on the stock market. They also launched a special software called Smart Adserver to help with online ads.
Growing Bigger
In 2006, aufeminin.com bought a French cooking website called Marmiton.org. A year later, in 2007, the founders sold the company to a big German media group called Axel Springer SE. In 2008, Aufeminin bought Onmeda, which is Germany's top health website.
New Leadership and Changes
Since 2010, Marie-Laure Sauty de Chalon has been the CEO, or boss, of the Aufeminin group. In 2011, the group bought Netmums, which is the number one website for parents in the UK. They also bought EtoileCasting in 2012 and a big part of My Little Paris in 2013.
In 2014, Aufeminin changed its name and logo. They removed the ".com" from their name. This change was for all their platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and social media. In 2015, Aufeminin sold its ad software company, Smart Adserver. Later that year, in December 2017, the TF1 company bought most of Aufeminin from Axel Springer.
