Lieto ja Aura alueliitokset
Aura, Lieto and Tarvasjoki.

Aura's story began as part of the Lieto area. In 1636, a church was built in the village of Prunkkala. This led to a new church community forming. Later, in 1908, it was decided that Prunkkala should become separate from Lieto.

Some villages like Kuuskoski and Hypöinen joined from Pöytyä. Finally, in 1917, the community became fully independent. It was named Aura after the local train station and the community that grew around it in the late 1800s.
