Aurora is a small town located in Hancock County, Maine, in the United States. The town gets its name from Aurora, the Roman goddess of dawn. In 2020, only 93 people lived there.
Aurora is home to the Brick School House, a really old school building. It was built way back in 1827 and is the oldest public brick building still standing in Hancock County.
Kids in Aurora, and nearby towns like Great Pond, Osborn, and Amherst, go to the Airline Community School. This school teaches students from pre-school all the way up to eighth grade.
