The Avia River is a river in Spain. It flows into the larger Miño River. The Avia River is about 36.70 km (22.80 mi) long.

It starts high up in the serra of the Suído mountains. This is in the Province of Ourense, in Galicia. The river begins at a place called Fonte Avia, which is in the town of Avión. Here, it is about 880 metres (2,890 ft) above sea level.

The Avia River first flows towards the southwest and then north. It reaches the artificial lake of Albarellos. This lake is found between the towns of Leiro, Boborás, and Avión.

After leaving the lake, the river continues its journey. It flows past Boborás, then turns to flow south. Finally, the Avia River joins the Miño River in the town of Ribadavia.

Other smaller rivers flow into the Avia River. These are called its tributaries. Some of these include the Maquiáns River, Viñao River, and Arenteiro River. The Avia River also passes through the communities of Boborás, Leiro, and Ribadavia.
