About Axis of Advance
Band History
The band started in 1998. Before they were called Axis of Advance, they were known as Sacramentary Abolishment. They changed their name after their drummer, Paulus Kressman, left the group. The name "Axis of Advance" was actually supposed to be the title of Sacramentary Abolishment's third album.
Even though J. Read was their drummer for a long time, the band thought of him as a "session member." This meant they saw him as someone who played with them for a specific time or project. They felt that no one else could drum for them in the same way.
The band released their first music recording, an EP called Landline, in April 1999. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs than a full album.
Axis of Advance stopped playing together in 2008. After the band broke up, Vermin joined J. Read's other band, Revenge, to play guitar for a while. He also played with another band called Weapon for a short time.
