The Aisén River, also spelled Aysén, is a river in Chile. It is located in the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region, which is a part of southern Chile.
This river begins where two other rivers meet. These are the Simpson River and the Mañiguales River. The Aisén River then flows for about 26 kilometers (16 miles). It finally empties into the Aisén Fjord, which is an inlet of the Pacific Ocean.
The town of Puerto Aisén is situated very close to where the Aisén River meets the fjord. This makes the river important for the local community.
