The Aztec was a popular chocolate bar made by the company Cadbury in the United Kingdom. It was first introduced in 1967. This tasty bar was known for its mix of soft nougat and chewy caramel, all covered in smooth milk chocolate.
The Aztec bar came in a special deep purple wrapper. It was created by Cadbury to compete with another well-known chocolate bar, the Mars Bar.
What Was the Aztec Bar?
The Aztec chocolate bar was a sweet treat with different textures. It had a soft, fluffy nougat layer. Below that was a sticky, sweet caramel layer. Both of these delicious fillings were covered in a layer of Cadbury's famous milk chocolate.
It was designed to be a filling and satisfying snack. Its unique combination of nougat and caramel made it stand out.
Why Was the Aztec Bar Discontinued?
Even though many people enjoyed the Aztec bar, Cadbury stopped making it in 1978. This means it was only available for about 11 years.
Sometimes, companies stop making products if they aren't selling as well as expected. Or, they might want to focus on new products.
A Brief Return
Years later, the Aztec chocolate bar made a short comeback. In the year 2000, Cadbury brought it back for a little while. It was called Aztec 2000.
However, this revival didn't last long. The Aztec 2000 was also discontinued soon after it was re-released.
