Azərpoçt is the main company that handles all postal services in Azerbaijan. Think of it as Azerbaijan's official post office! It helps people send and receive letters and packages across the country and even around the world.
Azərpoçt was started on September 29, 1999. It was created by the Ministry of Communication of Azerbaijan. This new company took over from an older postal service called "Azərpoçt İstehsalat Birliyi." That old service had been set up after the Soviet Union broke apart in 1991. By 2004, Azərpoçt became the official national postal operator. This means it's the main company responsible for mail everywhere in Azerbaijan.
Azərpoçt has a big network to help deliver mail. It has 4 special branches that handle things like sorting mail and sending express packages. The company also has 71 main branches. These branches manage about 1,500 smaller post offices. These post offices are where you can send letters, pick up packages, and use other services.
