Bavaro is a popular area in Punta Cana, found in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic. It's in the La Altagracia Province. Bavaro first started as a town for people who worked at the big resorts nearby. As more hotels were built along the coast, Bavaro grew into a busy place with lots of services for tourists and locals.

Exploring Bavaro's Roads
Bavaro is a long area, stretching about 15 kilometers (9 miles) north. It starts near the town of Higüey. The area has about 10 kilometers (6 miles) of beautiful seashore. You can find other beaches like Uvero Alto beach further north.
In the middle of Bavaro is a main intersection called Friusa. There are also roads that lead to places like Cabeza de Toro. This spot is the easternmost tip of the island of Hispaniola, where the Dominican Republic is located.

The electricity in Bavaro is provided by a company called Consorcio Energetico Punta Cana Macao (CEPM). This company is special because it uses clean energy sources. They produce power from wind and solar energy.

Bavaro is famous for its many hotels and resorts. One of the oldest hotels in the area is Barcelo. There are also newer places like the Now Larimar Resort.

El Cortecito is another interesting area. It was one of the first places to connect to the Punta Cana International Airport. Here, you can find beach bars like Soles and Umi, which are great for relaxing by the sea.

Tourism in Bavaro has been growing very quickly. Many new homes and places to stay are being built. Areas like Los Corales, Cocotal, and El Cortecito are good examples of this growth. All these places are just a few minutes away from the Punta Cana International Airport. This makes it easy for visitors to arrive and start their vacation.

Bavaro has many useful places for visitors and residents. Plaza Bavaro is a great place to find gift shops. You can also find fun discothèques like Mangu and Areito. There's even a golf course called White Sands.
The Tourist Police office is located near the bus station in Friusa. Along the road from Plaza Bavaro to Friusa, you will find hospitals and shopping malls. These malls have many bars and restaurants to enjoy. Bavaro ends near the crossroad to Macao Beach.
