Marcellus Rayvon Register (born February 7, 1991), known to fans as Babyface Ray, is an American rapper. He is a well-known artist in the Detroit hip hop music scene, especially since 2020.

Early Life
Marcellus Rayvon Register was born on February 7, 1991, in Detroit. Growing up, he enjoyed playing sports like basketball and football. He also learned to play the trumpet.
Music Career
Babyface Ray began his music journey in 2010. He joined a group called Team Eastside with another Detroit rapper, Peezy. In 2015, he started to get noticed when he released his first mixtape, MIA Season. A mixtape is like an album, but often released independently.
He continued to release music, including his mixtape Ghetto Wave in 2017. In 2019, he released MIA Season 2, which was a follow-up to his first mixtape. This mixtape featured his first song to become very popular online, called "move to la." It was a hit on TikTok.
In February 2021, Babyface Ray released his first EP called Unf...able. An EP is shorter than an album, usually with a few songs. This EP included songs with other famous rappers like EST Gee and Moneybagg Yo. Unf...able was a success, reaching number 128 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Billboard 200 lists the most popular albums in the United States.
Later in 2021, he released a single called "It Ain't My Fault." This song featured the well-known rapper Big Sean. In January 2022, Babyface Ray released his first full-length album, Face. This album featured many guest artists, including G Herbo, 42 Dugg, and Pusha T. Face was very popular, reaching number 31 on the Billboard 200 chart. It also hit number two on the Independent Albums chart.
In 2022, Babyface Ray was chosen for the XXL Freshman class. This is a special group of new and rising hip hop artists featured by XXL magazine. He also performed in a cypher, which is a freestyle rap session, with other artists like BabyTron.
