Herbert Randall Wright III (born October 8, 1995), known as G Herbo, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He started his music career in 2011 when he was 16 years old.
G Herbo became well-known for his mixtapes like Welcome to Fazoland (2014) and Ballin Like I'm Kobe (2015). His first studio album, Humble Beast, came out in 2017. He has released several successful albums, including Swervo (2018), PTSD (2020), and 25 (2021). Many of his albums have reached the top of the music charts.

Early Life in Chicago
G Herbo grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He went to Hyde Park Academy High School. When he was 16, he decided to focus on his music career.
He was inspired by famous rappers like Meek Mill, Jeezy, and Lil Wayne. G Herbo is also good friends with fellow rapper Lil Bibby. They have worked together on many songs. G Herbo has mentioned that N.L.M.B. is a "brotherhood" of friends.
Music Career
Starting Out: 2012–2014
G Herbo, then known as Lil Herb, and Lil Bibby first got attention from famous rapper Drake. Drake called them "the future" of hip-hop music.
G Herbo released his first mixtape, Welcome to Fazoland, on February 17, 2014. He named the mixtape after his friend Fazon Robinson. Critics praised the mixtape, noting G Herbo's strong lyrics.
In 2014, G Herbo worked with other big artists. He was featured on Nicki Minaj's song "Chiraq." He also contributed to Common's album Nobody's Smiling.
New Mixtapes: 2014–2016
G Herbo released another mixtape, Pistol P Project, on December 26, 2014. This was his second project that year.
In 2015, he appeared on Chief Keef's "Faneto (Remix)" with other Chicago rappers. G Herbo also released a song called "XXL" after not being included in a special magazine issue about new artists. The magazine later praised his rapping style.
In June 2016, XXL magazine recognized G Herbo as one of their "Freshman Class" artists. This is a group of rising hip-hop stars.
On August 4, 2015, G Herbo announced his third mixtape, Ballin Like I'm Kobe. He named it after his friend Jacobi D. Herring. He also officially changed his stage name to G Herbo. The mixtape was released on September 29, 2015, and received great reviews.
First Albums: 2016–2018
In 2016, G Herbo announced his first official album, Humble Beast. He released several singles like "Pull Up" and "Drop." He also worked with Sean Kingston and Lil Bibby on DJ Twin's song "They Know Us."
On November 17, 2016, G Herbo released his fourth mixtape, Strictly 4 My Fans. He also shared that he and Lil Bibby were working on a joint project called No Limitation.
His debut album, Humble Beast, came out on September 22, 2017. He later released a deluxe version of the album with more songs in 2018.
Recent Success: 2018–Present
In 2018, G Herbo gained more attention with his freestyle over the song "Who Run It." This led to a remix featuring rapper Lil Uzi Vert.
On July 27, 2018, G Herbo released the album Swervo. This album was fully produced by Southside. It featured other popular rappers like 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Juice Wrld. He followed up with another album produced by Southside, Still Swervin, released in 2019.
On February 28, 2020, G Herbo released his album PTSD. This album had 14 songs and featured many artists, including A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper, and Juice Wrld. PTSD was a big success, reaching number 7 on the Billboard 200 music chart.
In 2021, G Herbo released his fourth studio album, 25, on July 2. He also appeared on songs with King Von and MudBaby Ru. His album Survivor's Remorse came out in 2022.
Personal Life
G Herbo has a son, born in 2018, with Ariana Fletcher. He is engaged to Taina Williams, who is the stepdaughter of rapper Fabolous. They welcomed their first child, a boy, in May 2021.
Helping the Community
G Herbo is involved in charity work to help young people. In 2018, he helped redevelop an old elementary school in Chicago. His goal was to create a space with music equipment and free programs for young people. He wants to keep them busy and away from negative influences.
In July 2020, G Herbo started an initiative called Swervin' Through Stress. This program helps Black youths get therapy and mental health support. He was inspired by his own experiences and the challenges faced by people in his community. He believes it's important to use his resources to make a positive difference.
