Bagaces is a district located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. It is part of the Bagaces canton. Think of a district as a specific area within a larger region, like a neighborhood in a big town.

Bagaces covers a large area of about 884 square kilometers. That's a big piece of land! It sits at an elevation of about 80 meters above sea level. This means it's not very high up, but it's also not right at the beach.
