Bager Island is a rocky island located in the Wilhelm Archipelago near the Antarctic Peninsula. It is about 963 meters (3,159 feet) long from west to east and 373 meters (1,224 feet) wide. The island covers an area of 21 hectares (about 52 acres).
The name "Bager" comes from the Bulgarian word for "excavator." The island was given this name because its shape looks a bit like an excavator. This fits with other islands in the area that also have descriptive names.
