History of Bagley

The 2007 Storm
On July 18, 2007, Bagley was hit by a very strong thunderstorm. It rained about 7 inches (178 mm) in a short time! This storm was part of a big weather system that brought a lot of rain and lightning.
Normally small streams, like Glass Hollow Creek, turned into fast-moving rivers. They carried a lot of debris, which caused water to back up into the village. Luckily, no one was hurt. About 50 people had to leave their homes by boat because of the flooding. Almost every home and business in Bagley was damaged. Even with all the damage, the village did not get money from the federal government to help with repairs.
