Bahía Solano is a special town and municipality in the Chocó Department of Colombia. People who live there often just call it "Bahia." It's a really important place for both business and tourism along the coast of Chocó. The main town area is called Ciudad Mutis.
Bahia is home to the José Celestino Mutis Airport and also has a seaport. You can fly there daily from cities like Medellin, Quibdo, Cali, and Bogota. There are also ships that travel twice a week, taking people and goods from Bahia to the port of Buenaventura.
The area around Bahía Solano is perfect for exciting water activities. You can go scuba diving to explore the underwater world or try sport fishing to catch some amazing fish.
About 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Bahía Solano is a lovely beach town called El Valle, Choco. This town is very close to the Ensenada de Utria National Park, which is only about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) down the beach. This park is a beautiful place to visit and see nature.
