Bahar Soomekh (Persian: بهار سومخ) is an American who used to be an actress. She is well-known for her roles in the movies Crash and the Saw series. After her acting career, she became a real estate agent.

Early Life and School
Bahar was born in Tehran, Iran. Her family was Persian-Jewish. In 1979, when she was young, her family moved to Los Angeles, California, in the United States. This happened during a big change in Iran called the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
Bahar went to Sinai Akiba Academy and then Beverly Hills High School. After high school, she studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She earned a degree in environmental studies in 1997.
Bahar's Acting Career
After finishing college, Bahar worked in sales. At the same time, she took acting classes. She started her acting journey by appearing on TV shows. Some of these included JAG and 24.
She decided to focus completely on acting. Less than three months later, she got a big role in the movie Crash. This movie later won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Because of her success in Crash, People magazine featured her as a rising star in 2006.
Bahar then acted in other movies like Syriana and Mission: Impossible III. In 2006, she played a main character, Dr. Lynn Denlon, in the horror movie Saw III. She also had a repeating role as Margo in the TV series Day Break. She made guest appearances on shows such as Ghost Whisperer and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her last movie role was in Just like a Woman, which came out in 2012.
Later, many movie jobs moved away from the Southern California area. Bahar decided to start a new career in real estate. This allowed her to stay close to her family.
Bahar's Family Life
Bahar married Clayton Frech in 2001. They have three children together. One of their children is Ezra Frech. Ezra was born without most of his left leg and some fingers on his left hand. He is an amazing athlete. He won two gold medals at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. In 2014, he was even named a finalist for Sports Illustrated SportsKid of the Year.
