José Guilherme Baldocchi (born March 14, 1946), known simply as Baldocchi, is a former professional Brazilian football player. He was a strong central defender on the field.

Baldocchi played for several important clubs during his career. These included Botafogo-SP, Palmeiras, Corinthians, and Fortaleza. He was part of the Palmeiras team that won the Brazilian Cup in 1967. He also played one international match for the Brazil national football team in 1970. Baldocchi was a member of the famous Brazil squad that won the 1970 FIFA World Cup.

Baldocchi's Club Career

Baldocchi started his football journey in 1964. He played for Batatais and then for Botafogo-SP until 1967.

Playing for Palmeiras

From 1967 to 1972, Baldocchi played for Palmeiras. This was a very successful time for him. He helped Palmeiras win the Série A title twice in 1967. They won the Taça Brasil and the Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa. Palmeiras also won the Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa again in 1969. In 1968, his team reached the finals of the Copa Libertadores, a major South American club competition.

Time with Corinthians and Fortaleza

After Palmeiras, Baldocchi moved to Corinthians. He played there from 1971 to 1975. Later, he joined Fortaleza in 1974 and played until 1977. With Fortaleza, he won the Campeonato Cearense in 1974 and the Torneio Início do Ceará in 1977.

Baldocchi's International Career

Baldocchi had the honor of representing his country, Brazil. He played one international match for the Brazil national football team. This game was on March 4, 1970, against the Argentina team. The match took place at the Estadio Beira-Rio.

Being a World Cup Champion

Even though he only played one international match, Baldocchi was chosen for the Brazil squad. This was the team that went to the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. Brazil's team in 1970 is considered one of the greatest football teams ever. They won the World Cup, making Baldocchi a world champion.
