Ballengee is a small place in West Virginia, United States. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's an unincorporated community. This means it's part of two different counties: Monroe County and Summers County. Ballengee is located about 15 miles (24 km) southwest of a town called Alderson.
History of Ballengee
Ballengee got its name from an early settler. His name was R. T. Ballangee. The community used to be spelled a little differently, as Ballangee.
