Ballon-Saint Mars is a town in western France. It is located in the Sarthe department. This town was created on January 1, 2016. It was formed when two smaller towns, Ballon and Saint-Mars-sous-Ballon, joined together.

History of Ballon-Saint Mars
The idea to create Ballon-Saint Mars started with discussions. The local councils of Ballon and Saint-Mars-sous-Ballon talked for several months. On June 25, 2015, they voted to combine. This vote officially formed the new town of Ballon-Saint Mars.
