Bambang Suryadi, also known as Basur, was an important Indonesian politician. He was born on October 1, 1968, and passed away on January 4, 2021. He was a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, a major political group in Indonesia.

Bambang served in different government roles. He was a member of the Central Lampung Regional People's Representative Council from 2004 to 2014. Then, he joined the Lampung Regional People's Representative Council from 2014 to 2019. Finally, he became a member of the national People's Representative Council in 2019, serving until his death. These councils are like groups of elected people who help make laws and decisions for their areas.

Growing Up and Learning

Bambang Suryadi was born in Blitar, a city in East Java, Indonesia. He started elementary school in 1975 and finished in 1981. After that, he went to junior high school from 1981 to 1984. He then attended high school from 1984 to 1987.

Later, in 2008, while he was already working in government, Bambang went to Tulang Bawang University. He studied law and earned his law degree (S.H.) in 2011. A law degree means you've studied the rules and systems of a country.

Right after that, he continued his studies at Lampung University. He earned a higher law degree called a Magister (M.H.) in 2015. A Magister degree is like a master's degree, showing even more advanced study.

In 2018, Bambang started studying for a doctorate degree in law at Lampung University. This is the highest level of university education. He passed an important test in 2019. Sadly, he passed away before he could finish his doctorate degree.

His Work in Politics

Joining the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle

Bambang became a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in 1999. He quickly became a leader in the party. From 1999 to 2002, he was the chairman (leader) of the party's local group in Bandar Jaya district.

In 2002, he became the secretary for the party's branch in Central Lampung. Later, he was elected as the chairman of the Central Lampung branch for two terms. He led the party in that area from 2005 to 2010, and again from 2010 to 2015.

In 2019, Bambang ran for an even bigger role: a member of the national People's Representative Council. He represented the Lampung II electoral district. This district covers several areas like Lampung Timur and Lampung Tengah. He won the election with many votes.

As a member of the People's Representative Council, Bambang worked in Commission V. This group handles important topics like infrastructure (roads and buildings), transportation, and helping disadvantaged areas. They also deal with weather, climate, and search and rescue efforts.
