Prince Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini (born 15 May 1942 – died 28 September 2018) was an important politician from Eswatini. He served as the Prime Minister of Eswatini two times. His first term was from 1996 to 2003. He then served again from October 2008 to September 2018.

Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini was a well-known figure in Eswatini's government. He held several key positions throughout his career. His work helped shape the country's direction for many years.
His Early Career in Government
Dlamini became a member of parliament in 1978. This meant he helped make laws for the country. Later, from 1984 to 1993, he was the Minister of Finance. In this role, he managed the country's money. He also worked as an executive director for the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The IMF is an organization that helps countries with their finances.
Becoming Prime Minister of Eswatini
Dlamini first became Prime Minister in 1996. He held this top leadership role until 2003. After this, he joined the advisory council for King Mswati III. This council gives advice to the King.
In 2008, he was considered for a big job in Africa. He was a candidate to lead the African Union Commission. However, his country decided to support another candidate instead. This was to show unity with other countries in Southern Africa.
His Second Term as Prime Minister
After the elections in September 2008, King Mswati III chose Dlamini to be Prime Minister again. He started his second term on 23 October 2008. Some people had concerns about his appointment. They felt he was very loyal to the King and had a strong way of leading. Dlamini took his oath of office in both English and SiSwati. He was appointed for a third time in 2013.
His Personal Life and Family
Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini was married three times during his life. His first wife was Jane Gezephi Matsebula. They married in 1970, and she passed away in 2012.
In 2014, he married Pastor Joy Nonjabulo Gladness Maziya. However, they divorced a little over two years later. In 2017, he married Gugu Primrose Simelane. She was a teacher who later became a head teacher.
His Later Years and Passing
In 2017, Dlamini traveled for medical check-ups. He was admitted to a hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) in April 2018.
Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini passed away on 28 September 2018. He was 76 years old. His death happened less than a month after he finished his second term as Prime Minister.
