Barranca de los Laureles is a small town in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It's located close to Zacoalco de Torres. This town has a lovely main square, called a plaza, where people gather for celebrations. The streets in Barranca de los Laureles are unique because they are paved with rocks. In 2020, about 330 people lived here.
Fun Fiesta de Marzo
Barranca de los Laureles has a special old celebration called the Fiesta de Marzo. This means "The March Party" in English. It happens every year from March 17th to 19th.
During this party, people in Barranca de los Laureles celebrate their way of life. A big Castillo (which is a tall fireworks display) is lit up. Bandas (music groups) play traditional folk songs. There are even trampolines for kids to jump on!
Food is a very important part of the party. You can enjoy delicious tacos, smoked corn, and different drinks. Many people from nearby towns, like Barranca de Santa Clara and Barranca de Otates, also come to join the fun.
