About the Barred Cuckooshrike
These birds get their name from the dark stripes, or "bars," on their chests and bellies. They also have bright yellow eyes that really stand out! Barred cuckooshrikes are known for their quiet movements as they search for food among the trees. They are usually found in forests and woodlands.
Where Do They Live?
Barred cuckooshrikes live in several different parts of the world. They are found across eastern Australia, from the top of the Cape York Peninsula down to New South Wales. You can also spot them in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and many of the Solomon Islands. These birds like places with lots of trees, like rainforests and wet woodlands.
