Barry Wayne Stevens (born November 7, 1963 – died February 21, 2007) was an American basketball player. He was born in Flint, Michigan. Barry was a talented player who became one of the top scorers at Iowa State University. He also played basketball professionally, even for a short time in the NBA.

College Basketball Star
Barry Stevens played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones from 1981 to 1985. He was a 6-foot-5-inch (1.96 m) shooting guard. Barry was an amazing scorer for his team. In fact, he is the third-highest scorer in the history of Iowa State University basketball.
He was recognized as one of the best players in the Big Eight Conference. He earned a spot on the First-team All-Big Eight three times, from 1983 to 1985. His jersey number, 35, was later retired by Iowa State Cyclones. This means no other player on the team will ever wear that number again, honoring his contributions.
Professional Career
After college, Barry Stevens played basketball professionally. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 1985. He played for several teams in different leagues.
NBA Experience
Barry briefly played in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors. This was during the 1992-93 NBA season. He played in two games for the Warriors, totaling six minutes on the court.
