Bartosz's Club Journey

Bartosz Bereszyński was born in Poznań, Poland. He started playing football at a young age. He trained with several youth teams, including TPS Winogrady Poznań, Poznaniak Poznań, Warta Poznań, and Lech Poznań.
Starting His Senior Career
Bartosz began his professional career with Lech Poznań. While playing for Lech, he even got to play in the UEFA Europa League qualifying matches. This is a big European competition for clubs.
Moving to a Rival Team
Later, Bartosz made a big move to Legia Warsaw. This was a notable transfer because Lech Poznań and Legia Warsaw are strong rivals in Polish football. Moving between these two clubs can be quite a big deal for fans.
European Competition Challenge
During his time with Legia Warsaw, Bartosz faced a tricky situation in the UEFA Champions League. He was suspended for three European matches because of a red card he received earlier. His club accidentally played him in a match before his suspension was fully over. Because of this mistake, UEFA changed the result of the game, which meant Legia Warsaw was unfortunately knocked out of the competition.
Playing in Italy
In January 2017, Bartosz moved to Italy. He signed a four-year contract with Sampdoria, a team in Italy's top league, Serie A. He played many games for Sampdoria over several seasons.
In January 2023, Bartosz joined Napoli on a loan. A loan means he played for Napoli for a short time, but his main contract was still with Sampdoria. Napoli even had an option to buy him permanently.
After Sampdoria was moved down to a lower league, Serie B, Bartosz played a couple of games for them. Then, in August 2023, he went on another loan, this time to Empoli, which is also in Serie A. He played for Empoli for one year.
Bartosz's contract with Sampdoria ended in June 2025.
Playing for Poland
Bartosz has represented his country, Poland, at different age levels. He played for the under-19, under-20, and under-21 teams.
His first game for the senior national team was on June 4, 2013, against Liechtenstein. In June 2018, he was chosen to be part of Poland's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, which is one of the biggest football tournaments in the world.
