Starting His Career
Batatais began his football journey in the early 1930s. He started playing for Comercial Futebol Clube in Ribeirão Preto. This was the first step in his long and successful career as a goalkeeper.
Playing for Big Clubs
After his start, Batatais played for several well-known Brazilian clubs. These included Portuguesa and Palmeiras. He also played for Fluminense, which is a very famous team. He finished his career in 1948 playing for América-RJ.
