Beaconsfield is a small city in Ringgold County, Iowa, in the United States. In 2020, only 15 people lived there. This number has stayed the same since 2010. It is now the second smallest city in Iowa, just after Le Roy.

History of Beaconsfield
Beaconsfield began because of a railroad. The Humeston and Shenandoah Railroad built a train station here. In 1881, a company planned out the village. A post office opened in 1882, but it closed in 1993.
The town officially became a city on January 18, 1990.
The community got its name from Benjamin Disraeli, who was also known as Lord Beaconsfield. He was an important leader in England.
A famous grocery store chain, Hy-Vee, started in Beaconsfield. It began in 1930 as the Beaconsfield Supply Store. Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg opened this general store. Today, that original building is a historic place.
In May 1981, a strong tornado passed near Beaconsfield. It traveled for almost 16 miles.
