Beatrice of Navarre (born 1392, died between 1412 and 1415) was a princess from the Kingdom of Navarre. Life of Princess Beatrice
Beatrice was part of the important House of Évreux, a noble family. She had two sisters who survived to adulthood: Blanche I of Navarre and Isabella of Navarre. Blanche later became the Queen of Navarre.
In 1406, Beatrice married James II, Count of La Marche. The wedding took place in Pamplona, which was the capital city of Navarre. James was a French nobleman.
Beatrice and James had three daughters:
- Isabelle (born 1408) became a nun in a religious community in Besançon.
- Marie (born 1410) also became a nun, joining a community in Amiens.
- Eleanor of Bourbon-La Marche (born 1412) married a nobleman named Bernard d'Armagnac, Count of Pardiac.
Historians are not completely sure when Beatrice died. She passed away sometime between 1412 and 1415. It is thought that she might have died in 1412, possibly while giving birth to her youngest daughter, Eleanor.
