History of Beaver Dam
How Beaver Dam Started
Beaver Dam was settled in 1867. People moved there from nearby towns like Providence and Deweyville. The community got its name from the many beaver dams found along Willow Creek.
Early Farming
In 1868, something special happened in Beaver Dam. The very first "co-op dairy" in all of Utah was started there. A co-op is when a group of people, like farmers, work together. They share resources and profits to help everyone. This dairy helped local farmers work together to produce and sell milk and other dairy products.
