The Story of Bedré Chocolate
The Chickasaw Nation bought Bedré Fine Chocolate in the year 2000. They moved the company to a new, large factory in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, in 2003. Bedré stayed there for ten years. In 2013, the company moved to its current home in Davis, Oklahoma. They even started building this bigger chocolate factory in 2011.
What Bedré Makes and Where You Can Find It
Bedré makes all its chocolates right at the factory. Visitors can even watch the chocolate-making process for free! They create many tasty treats. These include candy bars, cookies, and chocolate-covered popcorn. They also make chocolate-covered potato crisps. Another fun product is "Oklahoma cow patties." These are yummy nut clusters covered in chocolate.
You can find Bedré chocolates in many stores across the United States. Big stores like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales sell them. Bedré also makes special chocolate guitars for guests at Hard Rock Hotels. Another company, Dylan’s Candy, sells Bedré chocolates under its own brand name. In the past, stores like 7-11 and Braum's also sold Bedré chocolates with their own labels.
Bedré is a proud member of the Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council. As a company that makes things in Oklahoma, it's also part of the "Made in Oklahoma" program.
