Belden Village Mall is a popular shopping mall located in Jackson Township, Ohio. It's a great place to shop, eat, and have fun! The main stores, called anchor tenants, are Dave & Buster's, Dillard's, and Macy's.

History of Belden Village Mall
Belden Village Mall first opened its doors on October 1, 1970. It was built as a fully enclosed shopping center. When it first opened, its main stores were O'Neil's, Sears, and Higbee's.
Changes to Main Stores
Over the years, some of the main stores changed their names.
- In 1992, Higbee's became Dillard's.
- O'Neil's merged with another company in 1989 and became May Company Ohio.
- Then, in 1993, May Company Ohio changed its name to Kaufmann's.
- Finally, on September 9, 2006, Kaufmann's became Macy's.
Mall Updates and New Additions
The mall has been updated several times to keep it looking modern.
- In 1989, the mall had a small makeover. The food court got colorful flags, and the main entrances were improved with glass areas.
- Many other businesses have also opened around the mall. These include restaurants like Chili's Bar & Grille (opened 1986) and Bravo Cucina (opened 2006). Max & Erma's also opened in 2005 but is now closed.
Changes in Ownership
For many years, a company called The Jacobs Group owned the mall.
- In 2002, the Westfield Group bought the mall and renamed it "Westfield Shoppingtown Belden Village."
- They dropped "Shoppingtown" from the name in 2005.
- In November 2013, Starwood Retail Partners bought several Westfield properties, including Belden Village. The mall's name then went back to "Belden Village Mall."
Recent Renovations
The mall continued to get updates in recent years.
- In late 2016, the main entrance was redesigned to look more modern.
- Also in 2016, the former Max and Erma's restaurant became a Burntwood Tavern.
- In 2017, an old truck area was turned into new stores, including a Melt Bar & Grilled.
- In 2019, the food court was quickly renovated with new furniture and lighting.
Sears Store Changes
The Sears store at Belden Village Mall went through some big changes.
- In 2015, the Sears company decided to make its store smaller.
- Part of the second floor of the Sears building was planned to become Dave & Buster's.
- Dave & Buster's officially opened on November 4, 2019.
- Sears announced it would close its Belden Village location on October 23, 2019. Its last day was January 12, 2020.
- In March 2020, it was reported that a large part of the former Sears space is being redeveloped for Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. The old Sears Auto Center is also planned to be removed to make way for a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen.
