About Belle Chevre

Belle Chevre is known for making high-quality goat cheese. They use fresh goat's milk to create different kinds of cheeses, from soft and creamy to slightly aged. Their cheeses are enjoyed by many people across the country.

How Belle Chevre Started

Belle Chevre was founded by a person named Leone Jones Asbury. Later, she sold her part of the company to Liz Parnell. Then, in 2007, Tasia Malakasis bought the company. Tasia worked hard to make their products more well-known and added new kinds of cheese. In April 2013, Belle Chevre opened its first cheese shop and tasting room in downtown Elkmont, Alabama. Here, visitors can try all their cheeses for free! Today, the owner of Belle Chevre is Foster McDonald from Arab, Alabama.

Delicious Cheeses They Make

Belle Chevre makes several types of goat cheese. Their main products include classic goat cheese and creamy goat cheese spreads. These spreads come in different yummy flavors like original, honey, garden veggie, roasted red pepper, fig, and even pumpkin spice!

They also make a unique cheese called "the Greek Kiss." This is a slightly aged goat cheese that is carefully wrapped by hand between two special leaves that have been soaked in salty water. It's a very popular and special item.
