Belle Prairie Township is a community located in Morrison County, Minnesota, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,647 people lived there.

The township was officially started in 1858. Its name, "Belle Prairie," comes from French words meaning "beautiful prairie." A special building called Our Lady of the Angels Academy is in the township. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. This means it's an important historical site.

Geography of Belle Prairie

Belle Prairie Township covers an area of about 117.9 square kilometers (or 45.5 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 115.2 square kilometers (44.5 square miles). The rest, about 2.6 square kilometers (1.0 square mile), is water.

Minnesota State Highway 371 is a main road that runs through the township. It helps people travel to and from Belle Prairie.
