Belvedere is a community in Aiken County, South Carolina, United States. It is a suburb of North Augusta. Belvedere is known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it has a name and borders, but it doesn't have its own city government. It is part of the larger Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area.
In 2010, about 5,792 people lived in Belvedere. The name "Belvedere" comes from Italian. It means "beautiful sight." This name was chosen because the area has lovely views of the Savannah River.

Where is Belvedere Located?
Belvedere is found in the western part of Aiken County. It is mostly surrounded by the city of North Augusta. Belvedere is located northeast of North Augusta's original downtown area.
The main road through Belvedere is U.S. Route 25. This road is also called Edgefield Road. It leads north to Interstate 20, which is just outside the community. Another major road, Interstate 520, passes just east of Belvedere.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Belvedere covers about 3.4 square miles (8.8 square kilometers). Only a tiny part of this area, about 0.01 square miles (0.02 square kilometers), is water.
