Belén became well-known in 1999. She started her TV career on a Spanish channel called Antena 3. Later, in 2004, she moved to another TV channel, Telecinco, with TV presenter Ana Rosa Quintana.
Joining the Show Sálvame
In 2009, Belén joined a new show on Telecinco called Sálvame. This show has changed over time, but Belén has been a part of it for many years. Sálvame is a popular talk show where people discuss the lives of famous people. Sometimes, the show even talks about the lives of the people who are on the show, like Belén herself.
Protecting Privacy on TV
Because the show discusses personal lives, there have been some concerns. For example, Belén's daughter, Andrea, was sometimes talked about on the show when she was a child. A special person called a "children's ombudsman" suggested that less should be said about Andrea to protect her privacy.
Other Fun Projects and Appearances
At the end of 2009, Belén had a cosmetic procedure before appearing on a New Year's Eve TV special. Many people searched for her online after this.
Dancing and Reality TV

One popular phrase is "Hasta luego, Mari Carmen" (See you later, Mari Carmen). It's like saying "Bye, Felicia" when you don't expect to see someone again.
